The king of my heart. No really, right now there are over 50 movies available to rent On Demand or at the Kiosk starring the one and only, Bruce Willis. So since we’re an expert in everything Bruce, I think it’s only fitting that we’re the ones who do the ranking of the top 10 Bruce Willis movies. These are in the order of my personal favorites, and yes, you’re welcome for this.
- The Die Hard Saga
STARTING OFF THE LIST WITH A BANG AND JOHN MCCLANE. A true icon. Also, the first Die Hard is a Christmas movie and no one will be able to convince me otherwise. This saga truly set and raised the bar for every crime drama to follow. #YippieKiYay
- Pulp Fiction
There’s no way that I could not put this cult classic in the number two spot! This movie easily became one of the 1990s movies that people are still talking about today. And Bruce becoming a boxer intertwined with some sketchy crime dealings really set himself up for his future roles.
- The Sixth Sense
This movie gave me nightmares when I was younger. Besides that, Bruce is absolutely amazing in this role. I think that I can speak for all of the film junkies when I say that the ghost haunting thriller is still a masterpiece 23 years later.
- Sin City
Crime is Bruce’s favorite kind of role. The star power throughout this entire film including Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, and Rosario Dawson is more than enough for you to press play. Also, it’s a comic book based movie so you know it’s going to be a 10/10 in my book!
- Lucky Number Slevin
Bruce as Mr. Goodkat and Morgan Freeman as The Boss. This case of mistaken identity is the most entertaining with these two front and center. It’s a crime, thriller, and comedy all in one and you definitely have to watch it at least ONCE in your life!
Time travel is real. Well, for Bruce it is. Emily Blunt and Joseph Gordon-Levitt star alongside Bruce in a Rian Johnson film that will blow you away. This underrated sci-fi thriller is one of those rare gems that you’ll be telling your friends about for years to come!
There was NO way I’d leave out another Bruce & Morgan movie. It’s got a mix of retired CIA agents, comedy, and the best action scenes that you would expect with Bruce in the cast. This is the kind of movie you think about for days after watching it because the lines they drop throughout the two hours are iconic. Yes, there is a sequel and it’s appropriately titled Red 2.
- The Fifth Element
Taking it back to a 1997 release that revolves around the future…again. The movie has flying cars and Bruce running around in an orange tank top. I promise that this sci-fi movie is just as wild as you think it is (in a good way, obviously)!
You want a Bruce & Samuel L. Jackson reunion? Well, look no further! This mind-shattering movie will have you filled with suspense the entire time. Unbreakable may be one of my favorite movies that I had no idea what the ending was going to be. (PS, if you like this one, check out the sequels to this M. Night Shyamalan thriller – Glass and Split).
- Motherless Brooklyn
It’s a story about a friendship between a lonely PI and a memorable mentor. This NY set movie will have you wrapped up in the clues that Bruce has left behind wishing that you were the real detective on the case.
What Bruce Willis movie would you add to the list?
