Nicolas Cage is a household name at this point. He’s taught us about history, how to fight for your life, and yes, even how to live in the prehistoric world. Now, he’s been in almost 100 movies so i’m here giving you the best of the best when it comes to Nic. So without further ado, here’s the top 10 roles that without a doubt are iconic.

Benjamin Franklin Gates in National Treasure and National Treasure: Book of Secrets
Hands down my favorite Nicolas Cage role EVER. I grew up watching this movie on a loop and wanting to go off on an adventure to find some hidden treasure (and yes, he did make it sound way too easy to steal the Declaration of Independence).

The Janitor in Willy’s Wonderland
Sureeee, The Janitor may not have spoken a word in this movie, but his attention to cleaning and ability to take down some demonic animatronics speaks for itself.

Johnny Blaze / Ghost Rider in Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
Johnny may have sold his soul to the devil, but I’m kinda glad that he did. The motorcycle skills alone make this movie and role no one can forget. AND HELLO, Nic cage in a cowboy hat basically lives rent free in my mind.

Ronny Cammareri in Moonstruck
If this movie isn’t in your top ten, then I don’t want to be friends. First of all, Nicolas Cage stars alongside Cher in this 1987 Rom-Com. And then he’s the center of a love triangle?! Nothing can get better than this.

Castor Troy in Face/Off
John Travolta & Nicolas Cage in one movie?! This is what dreams are made of. Obviously Nicolas Cage is the bad boy in this one which I’m 100% here for. And the guy knows how to make a statement with his blacked-out aviators.

Red Miller in Mandy
This is one of the most chaotic roles that I’ve watched Nicolas Cage play, but he’s just brilliant in the entire thing! He’s revengeful, on a mission, and the picture of pure madness. 10/10 would recommend you bring this movie to your next thriller movie night.

Randy in Valley Girl
Let’s just take in the poster art for a sec. We’ve got a shirtless Nic Cage with a black vest, a colorful mohawk and purple tie hanging around his neck. His personality throughout this whole movie is the rebel type and we all know he plays this vibe SO well!

Damon Macready / Big Daddy in Kick-Ass
His super hero name is Big Daddy and that should just speak for itself. He’s the hero we all need in our life – funny, smart, and a dad that encourages his daughter to fight some crime! And you guessed it, he’s out for revenge…..again.

Grug in The Croods and The Croods: A New Age
If you haven’t watched either of these movies, do it NOW. Sure, it’s just an animated movie, but there’s no one in the world that could play Grug better. Here’s my petition for Nicolas Cage to get more animated movie roles!

Nathan in Color Out of Space
Here we are with the trippiest Nicolas Cage movie of them all. It’s got mystery, horror, and Nicolas Cage just trying to understand it all. The apocalypse is starting and he’s trying to find out the consequences it comes with.
