To quote a character from my all-time favorite TV show (LOST), “No one does it alone.” That’s probably why some of the most action-packed movies revolve around teams trying to accomplish a goal.

Here are 4 with particularly memorable teams:

The A-Team – I mean … if we’re talking about great teams, how could I NOT include The A-Team? My brother and I used to love this TV series back in the day, and I was relieved when the film adaptation turned out to be just as irreverent and fun. Starring Liam Neeson as team leader Hannibal, with Bradley Cooper (Face), Quinton Jackson (B.A. Baracus) and Sharlto Copley (Howling Mad Murdock) rounding out the rest of the crew, it was a high-energy blast. The story is now set in recent years, but it’s still about a team of crack commandos who’ve been imprisoned for a crime they didn’t commit, but then they escape and reunite on a mission to clear their names. I just love it when a plan comes together!

The Predator – When I saw this cast at Comic-Con, the love between them was obvious. I could tell they felt like a real team after the cameras stopped rolling. But on-screen they come together to try and defeat the ultimate Predator — a relentless, violent alien who’s come to earth to retrieve something it lost. And that something is now in the hands of a young boy (Jacob Tremblay), son of renegade mission leader Quinn (Boyd Holbrook). Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Thomas Jane and Alfie Allen make up the rag-tag group of misfits attempting to bring down the Predator with Quinn, while This is Us star Sterling K. Brown may or may not have plans of his own. The fun this group had filming together is palpable, and makes this one an action-thriller worthy of movie night.

The Fast and the Furious – “I don’t have friends, I have family.” Dom (Vin Diesel) uttered these words in Furious 7, and they sum up the vibe that’s helped this franchise rake in $5 billion across 8 movies to date. This crew of illegal street racers and heist pros are an unbeatable team because they always put each other first. In fact, Dom said it best in his famous speech from Fast Five: “Money will come and go. We all know that. The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room. Right here, right now.” Guy’s got a way with words. (And cars.)

Logan LuckyThe Fast & Furious gang considers each other family, but the Logan gang actually is family, as in blood relatives. Led by Jimmy (Channing Tatum) and his brother Clyde (Adam Driver), they come together to pull off a NASCAR heist in the middle of the Coca-Cola 600 in North Carolina over Labor Day weekend. Everyone has a part to play, and it’s amazing to watch all of the pieces fall into place when it’s go-time. Director Steven Soderbergh came out of retirement to direct this one, and you can tell he poured a lot of love and energy into it. See for yourself why it’s at 92% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes!
