Simple fact: Halloween movies are more fun with friends. Because they’re a blast. And because, hey, if you’re alone who will hear you scream?
Back for another year to sustain you while you jump out of your seat, it’s Poptoberfest. We teamed up with Jolly Time popcorn to offer you a free Redbox movie for the month of October. (Check specially marked 5MM boxes of Jolly Time for your one-night rental code for a free Blu-Ray or disc.)
There’s no better time to go Back To The Movies. Whether you’re a Michael Myers fan or more Hotel Transylvania 3, there are plenty of ways to make a night of it. Here are some ideas for your game plan – including our exclusive Poptoberfest recipe.

Pick Your Flick
Love suspense? (Well, yeah – it’s Halloween.) Let fate decide what scary movie you’ll watch. Spin the bottle. Cut a big circle out of poster board and divide it into “pie slices” with a marker. In each slice write the name of a movie; you pick the level of fright for your crowd. Put an empty glass bottle in the middle, spin it, and wherever it points to when it stops is your flick for the night.
Set the Scene
It’s all about the mood. Create a Halloween playlist. Bust out the faux cobwebs. Forget your healthy-eating habits for one night and lay out the candy dishes. If you’re really ambitious, set up pumpkin-carving stations in your garage or on your kitchen table. The final touch: When the movie comes on, it’s lights OUT. (Yep, this is non-negotiable.)
Because after your movie is done, you can still go out and paint the town red.
Happy Halloween! And more importantly, Happy Poptoberfest!
