We've written a lot about The A-Team ever since news of this '80s TV series adaptation hit last January. Bradley Cooper signed on as the suave con-artist Faceman in May (confirming my hunch that he has a clone -- seriously, the dude is everywhere), and by the beginning of this month, not only had the rest of the cast been assembled, but production was about to commence in Vancouver.
Now, before we take a look at the new-and-improved (?) mercenaries, let's refresh our memories of the original Faceman, Hannibal, Howling Mad Murdock: and B.A. Baracus:
And here's the 2010 version, with Bradley Cooper as Faceman, Ultimate Fighting Championship martial artist Quinton "Rampage" Jackson as B.A., Sharlto Copley from District 9 as Murdock, and Liam Neeson as the group's leader, Hannibal.:

My first reaction was, "I am digging how true they stayed to the original look of the team... but that is NOT Liam Neeson." Upon blowing up the picture a bit, however, I realized that it was indeed the Irish actor. Mad props to the Hair & Make-up Department (and the Photoshopping Artiste behind the promo pic):
Entertainment Tonight recently interviewed some of the cast members on set -- check it out after the jump..
Is that not enough A-Team news for you? Fine. Check out a few photos of Jessica Biel, in her role as one of Faceman's ex-girlfriends... an ex-girlfriend who also happens to be an Army general who's after the elusive foursome of crack commandos.
The A-Team is currently scheduled to hit theaters on June 11, 2010. Something tells me that the next time we write about this one, we'll have a trailer to discuss. Or at least I hope we will... I really can't wait to get a better sense of the tone director Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces) is going for. So far, I'm actually pretty hopeful about this adaptation, believe it or not.
What do YOU think of what we've seen of The A-Team thus far?
Oh, the memories those cheesy '80s shows bring back! I agree that Bradley Cooper is THE perfect Faceman. And I couldn't believe that was Liam Neeson either. He looks FANTASTIC! I would like this to be a fabulous remake, considering my love of all things '80s. But never having seen Smokin' Aces it's hard to know how much faith to place in Joe Carnahan. And I don't care much for Jessica Biel. So since I'm not usually a fan of remakes, whether of TV shows or movies (The Dukes of Hazzard, anyone?), I'm going to reserve judgment until I've seen a trailer.

Being a fan of the UFC, I'm excited about seeing one of there fighters in such a high budget movie, not to mention Rampage looks perfect for the role.

I think Jessica Biel is a terrible choice to play an Army general, no matter the movie. And I think the promo pic is terrible too.
But Bradley Cooper is perfect for his role, and Liam Neeson does look the part. I'm hopeful.

I'm excited for this movie. Rampage and Bradley Cooper are going to tear it up. Not saying that Mr. T wasn't a tough guy, but Rampage is a real deal tough guy. I also feel that Bradley Cooper hasn't even reached his true potential in the comedy world so this should be another good performance for him.
