First and foremost, I sincerely hope those of you who are already in the midst of enjoying a long holiday weekend are having a grand ol' time celebrating all that makes the U S of A such a great country. I myself am hosting my in-laws for a few days (don't worry, we get along!) and we're about to head out to the slice of Americana that is the Taste of Chicago. There, we will get our fill of greasy food, stand in long lines in the sweltering heat and be crushed by tens of thousands of sweaty bodies as we attempt to maneuver ourselves across the fairgrounds. Jealous?
OK, enough about my upcoming indigestion... let's move on to today's Freeze Frame challenge. Since I was so tough on you guys last weekend and no one could guess all of the movies, I made it significantly easier this time. Not only were all of the films below really popular in theaters (so you've most likely seen them), but they also share a patriotic flair. Yes, I just told you what the common thread was.
Now take a look-see and get crackin'!
Know 'em?
Good!
Then give me the answers in the comments section immediately below this post and prepare to see your name in bold on Monday if you were the first to the punch. I won't publish any entries until I reveal the winner at that point.
Good luck and Happy Fourth of July!

oops. After a quick check (cheat) on imdb I see Rocky opened in November. I guess the theme is just good ol' USA can-do spirit and all.

First time I've known all 3 at a glance:
Apollo 13
Rocky IV (featuring "Apollo" Creed)
Independence Day ("ID4")
You were cleverer than you thought, since all titles linked together.
