A Karate Kid Remake? Say It Ain't So!

This has got to be the worst movie-related news I've heard in a long, long time.  Not only is one of the most beloved movies of the 80s, The Karate Kid, going to be remade, but it's also going to star Will Smith's kid (and Will's also signed on as a co-producer)!?!  Is nothing sacred anymore?  Who in the heck could possibly replace the original Mr. Miyagi?  Are these people nuts?

This is just an awful, awful idea.  I might just have to head up an effort to protest this movie.  It starts filming next year, so I have a little time to organize a petition and whatnot.  Who's with me?
