Ready Player One – I was blown away by Ernest Cline’s pop-culture-infused novel about life in 2045, when almost everyone flocks to a virtual reality world called OASIS. Spielberg is at the helm of its adaptation, so you it’s gonna be good!
Solo – Um, an origin story for Han Solo — including how he met Lando Calrissian? YES PLEASE.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom – Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard (and a bunch of dinosaurs, of course) are back — and we’ll get a cameo from Jeff Goldblum of the original Jurassic Park, which has franchise fans very excited!
The Avengers: Infinity War – This highly anticipated sure-to-be-blockbuster brings together ALL of Marvel’s superheroes for an all-out battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin). Fanboys and fangirls, assemble!
Ocean’s 8 – Sandra Bullock heads a team of crafty women who plan to steal tens of millions in jewelry during New York City’s celebrity-filled Met Gala.
The Incredibles 2 – What happens when a baby has superpowers? We’ll soon find out!
Chaos Walking – Rey and Spider-Man… er, Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland join forces in the adaptation of the best-selling Young Adult book series, set in an alternate reality.
Black Panther – After making his grand appearance in Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) returns to his home in Wakanda, only to find his power challenged. Dun dun dunnnnnn…..
Mary Poppins Returns – Emily Blunt as the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (spellcheck knows that word, by the way) nanny who comes back to visit the now-grown Banks children, and Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda as a singing chimney sweep who was an apprentice to Bert from the original? I am waaaaayyyy too excited for this one.
A Wrinkle in Time – I feel like I need to reread this childhood story — which was one of my favorites back in the day — before we see how Disney and Selma director Ava DuVernay interpret its trippy tale. All I know is that I am digging its cast, which includes Oprah, Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon!
Deadpool: The Second Coming – Aside from the original Iron Man, Deadpool is my favorite superhero movie. So I’m pretty darn (Deadpool would use another word) pumped to see what happens next. Josh Brolin is the big bad (Cable) in this one, too!
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald – And finally, we’ll return to the land of wizards and magic to see how Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlisted Newt Scamander’s (Eddie Redmayne) help in trying to take down the evil Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).
Which of these movies are you looking forward to the most? What else is on your Must See in 2018 list?
