Rachel’s Pick: 21 Jump Street

If you’re looking for a night of mindless entertainment, this movie is the perfect choice. 21 Jump Street is a hilarious spoof of the hit show from the late ’80s. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum play two misfit bike cops that get forced to go undercover as high school students to bring down an illegal drug ring.

The entire storyline pokes fun at the fact that Hill and Tatum are clearly way too old to be enrolled in high school, yet somehow they are accepted by their peers and loved by their teachers. I was constantly laughing at the ridiculousness of the script, and was surprised by some of the cameos and famous faces.

I highly recommend this movie, but beware: it does get a bit raunchy at times and is definitely not suitable for young’uns!

I let my date pick our Red Box a couple weeks ago and when he got 21 Jump Street I thought it would be a ‘guy movie’ and I was not looking forward to watching it. WELL LADIES, ITS HILARIOUS~ It was not a ‘guy movie’ at all and it was worth the rental fee FOR SURE!
