What to Rent This Weekend

by | Apr 19th, 2012 | 3:30PM | Filed under: DVD Reviews, Interviews, Movies, Redbox Focus

Can’t decide what movie to watch this weekend? Never fear! A fellow film fan (and member of the Redbox team) is here to help.

Name: Latanya Hodges

Redbox Role: Interactive Marketing Manager

Latanya’s Pick: Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol

I recommend Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol to anyone who likes good spy movies or is a fan of action movies with a good storyline. Once again Ethan Hunt, played by the dreamy Tom Cruise, and team move into action—this time to stop a villain, played by Michael Nyqvist of the Swedish Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy. This installment definitely had a different feel, as Ethan must clear his name and catch the bad guy at the same time. I think you’ll love this movie from beginning to end for its comedic value, stunts and visual effects.

Did she convince you?

I had seen Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol in cinemas. It was good but not great. It had good suspense but derivative stunts. The performances were good throughout. The story was predictable and derived. It was a fun movie to watch. It’s worth renting at Redbox :)
