Since this weekend could turn out to be quite stressful for those on the East Coast (stay safe, friends), I thought it might be a good time to share a little bit of silliness to help lighten the mood. If you’re desperate for a break from the doom and gloom on the news, read on!
YouTube user “mewlists” has created a 12-minute, 30-second montage of 100 of the best dance sequences on film, beginning with one from 1921′s The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and going all the way through last year’s ballet performance in Black Swan. While I loved watching these clips, I was a little shocked (and disturbed) that one of my least favorite “set-to-music” scenes (which I would have never considered a “dance sequence”) popped up as one of the 1992 entries.
If you’d like to see the list of all 100 movies represented in the montage, visit this page and then click the “Show More” link right under the video. The box will expand and the list of films will be visible.
Which clips were your favorites?
