Friends With Benefits, Indeed

So did you hear about the Marine who invited Black Swan actress Mila Kunis to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball via YouTube? Here’s his 19-second video:

Apparently Sgt. Scott Moore went through with the video because his fellow platoon members thought he’d be too nervous to actually do it. However, when the camera was fired up and the time came to put up or shut up, Moore told the Military Times that he didn’t want to regret not taking a chance. And so he went through with the dare. “I do feel bad for putting her on the spot, but it’s not like I was going to bump into her on the streets of Musa Qal’eh between now and the ball.”

Good point, Sergeant!

Shortly after the video became an online sensation (over 2.7 million hits and counting…), word reached Kunis while she and Justin Timberlake were in the middle of an interview about her upcoming film Friends With Benefits with FOX411. Timberlake had already heard about the invite and pressed Mila to accept:

Is it just me, or did Kunis appear to be a little, um, out of it in that interview? Hmm. Regardless, she really didn’t have much choice but to accept, did she?

The first thing I thought when I heard about all of this was, “It’s only a matter of time before a female Marine asks JT out…”

3, 2, 1…

He HAS to go, right? I mean, like he told Mila, he’s got to do it for his country. Plus, those six beefy dudes in the background will probably come after him if he doesn’t play nice.

Any bets on what will actually go down in November after all this initial hype has been forgotten? (And by the way, from what I can tell the co-stars were invited to different galas, so it’s not like they would have each other for company should things get awkward.)
