Yesterday we talked about the freaky-deaky trailer for Inception, and I’m happy to say that today I’ve got another thoroughly bizarre preview for you. This one doesn’t look quite as weird as Inception, but it’s up there. It’s the spot for The Adjustment Bureau, which stars Matt Damon as a successful Congressman who strikes up a relationship with a ballerina played by Emily Blunt — but apparently that wasn’t part of the plan. As in, The Plan that some creepy all-powerful organization had laid out for his life.
That’s some crazy stuff, huh? I liked how it first appeared to be a romantic drama, and then at the -1:37 mark there’s that dude standing over the couple’s bed… and then everything takes quite a sinister turn. The film is loosely based on a Philip K. Dick story entitled “Adjustment Team,” and as you may remember, Blade Runner, Total Recall and Minority Report were also based on his works. In my mind, that means The Adjustment Bureau is guaranteed to be quite a trip. I can’t imagine I won’t like it, as it falls right in my sweet-spot of twisty sci-fi stories. It hits theaters March 4, 2011!

Yea, the premise sounded stupid, but the trailer makes me want it.

Yeah, it looks great! But the first thing I thought was “The Observers” (from Fringe series). It could be a good thing if you think about it ;)
