As you may have noticed, it’s Spooky Movie Week here at redblog, or as I call it, “Half Halloween” (my new made-up holiday halfway between last year’s and this year’s Halloween).
We’ve got a ton of scary, spooky, or just plain odd movies in the redboxes, like Gabriel (creepy angels and demons!), Wind Chill (frosty Emily Blunt, ghost-fighter!), The Lovely Bones (Are You There God, It’s Me, the Dead Girl), The Descent 2: Cave Swap, Transylmania (National Lampoon Meets Twilight), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (which I like and will review at length tomorrow), Homecoming (Misha Barton is terrifying! And in this movie!) and 2012: Doomsday, which I hope to have at the Drive-In this weekend.
So this week’s poster has a thematic tie not only to Spooky Movie Week, but is a genre ancestor of one of the above. You know what to do: Study the image below (or to the left), a close-up bit of the original poster for a famous (spooky) movie. Then enter the correct title of the film in the comments section below this post.
I won’t post any of your guesses until I put the answer up and announce the winners on Thursday.
What movie’s poster is this image from?
