I Pity the Fool Who Doesn’t Like the New A-Team Trailer

by | Apr 7th, 2010 | 12:10PM | Filed under: Trailers

When The A-Team teaser trailer came out three months ago, I loved it. But my hope for the full-length trailer was that it wouldn’t have as many jarring, quick cuts between scenes… and that I’d find a reason to believe that sequence featuring Face shooting out of a tank in mid-air was NOT as cheesy and horribly CGI’d as it appeared. My prayers have been answered. Besides the preview for Iron Man 2, this is the trailer that’s gotten me the most excited for the summer popcorn flick season. I’m almost as hyped up about The A-Team as all of these people are about The Expendables. Different strokes for different folks!

I still don’t know what in the heck is going on with the film’s heavily photoshopped posters, but that’s OK because the clips above are definitely doing justice to the TV series I loved in the ’80s… even though they’ve clearly set the action in the present time. It seems to be just the right mix of action and comedy. I especially like that they’ve kept the theme song mostly intact, as well as the little shout-out it got when B.A. is whistling at the -:30 mark (did you notice his Pity and Fool knuckle tattoos, by the way? LOVE it!).

As for that mid-air tank scene? Well, it still is ridiculous overall, but looked much better than it did in the teaser — not nearly as fake. Overall I give it an A. Pun intended.

Saw the trailer in front of Clash of the Titans. I have to say, as indifferent as I am to the A-Team, this trailer got me hyped for it.

Can’t wait for this to come out… great cast.. there’s a new trailer with Date Night. Check it out. They go more into depth about what the movie is about…it looks great.. a must see… I hope that when it comes out we will all be able to say: “i love it when a plan comes together…”

Looks pretty sweet… but the A-team without Mr. T? They’re gonna havta try extra hard to make up for the loss of his awesomeness somewhere else.

Very excited for a movie like this. Rampage looks like he can act and it looks like the took the subtle humor and really expanded on it. I hope this trailer carries over to the movie and we might actually have something I go to see!

How is awesome is that A-Team van? AWESOME!

Great..the whole movie is ruined now. Murdoch kills the A-Team van. I guess I’ll have to suffer through an actual kick-ass remake without the van surviving.
A-Team looks like it may rock!

Considering that I don’t know much about the A-Team besides that Mr. T was in it, this trailer has peaked my curiosity. If this movie is anything as good as the new Star Trek was I’ll have to add another old series to my “must get DVD set” list.

As a fan of the 80′s A-Team, I am quite excited for this film. The trailer has me stoked for this movie which I will be anticipating a busy theater the night of June 11th.

Ok, so yes this was one of my favorite ‘stupid’shows when i was growing up. I’m still known to say ‘I love it when a plan comes together’! So Im excited to see this movie. As far as the trailer goes, well i dont know if its me becuase of my found childhood memories or what but the preview did exactly what it was mwant to do, got me hyped up to see the movie. So I guess thats good right? The tank sceen was classic A-Team cheese! I love it!

After hearing about this and watching the initial trailer, I thought this is terrible casting. The trailer shows Neeson struggling with the accent. I knew he was miscast from the beginning. He’s too big (a problem when you have to cast B.A. – unless they got Michael Clarke Duncan). He’s also too dark and serious of an actor. Hannibal had edge and humor. Mel Gibson would’ve been perfect or Bruce Willis. I’d have even been happy with Harrison Ford.

Cooper is miscast too. The character was called Face not just cause he was handsome, but because he had a face that people trusted. He was a con man. Cooper does not have an innocent or honest look.

This extended trailer does make me wanna see it though. Could be fun.

Im definitly looking forward to this… I think Kimbo Slice would have made a better Mr. T than Rampage, and Wheres all the Gold ropes at??? Rampage needs to atleast have some gold chains!! If hes gunna use Mr.T’s lines he needs to look the part too.

“I love it when a plan comes together.” That quote is as A-Team as “I pity the fool…” This promises to be a great reminder of an awesome 80′s moment in time. I too think Kimbo Slice would’ve nailed it AND where’s the gold chains???!!! I’m ready for this flashback-flick!!!

This definitely put a smile on my face. Memories of Mr T. Lived North of Chicago and on occasion we’d see his car along the freeway which made the boring commute a bit more interesting. Looking forward to catching the movie.

You gotta love the guy in one comment who says he would like to see Harrison Ford play Hannibal, maybe 20 years ago, did you see how bad the last Indanan Jones movie was, I still am excited for this movie and you have to take it as it is meant to be, a fantasy that takes you from your everyday crap to a action, fun place. Movies like this don;t win Oscars, they are meant to forget your life, troubles for 90 minutes or so and enjoy, so enjoy
