Sharp as tacks, you are! Almost everyone who played this weekend's Freeze Frame challenge got it right… meaning that the vast majority of commenters knew these three films were Lethal Weapon, Antz and Dreamgirls. But one smart fellow not only knew the answers, but also had lightning-quick reflexes and was the quickest to send in his response. And that guy is Jim, the same Jim that came up with one of my favorite captions for our Karate Kid contest back in September. Now the thrill of making an aluminum-foil trophy this week is his and his alone. Congratulations, and I hope you can handle this most important and dignified task, good sir.
In second place was longtime player of redblog's games, Donna… and in third was one of my favorite comic book characters from back in the day, Richie Rich (or is it Macaulkey Culkin pretending to be Richie Rich? Or is it the Heatherette designer? Or is it the rapper? Or maybe the DJ from 3rd Bass? WHO ARE YOU, Richie Rich?).
Now, onto the Common Thread Button o' Pride winners, who all pointed out the fact that Danny Glover was the link between the three films. Those observant folks are: Donna, KevinH, Dennis J. Quintana, Matthew S, Brent Currie, Diane Asprey and Matthew Price. I worked this challenge around Glover as he'll be starring in this weekend's 2012, as the President of the United States, no less. It was actually quite hard for me to pick which three films of his to feature, since he's been in so many — from The Color Purple to Top Gun to The Royal Tenenbaums to the Lethal Weapon trilogy to a few of the Saw films to Angels in the Outfield and, um, Operation Dumbo Drop, it's quite an eclectic mix. Will 2012 be a high or low point on Glover's resume? I have a hunch… but we'll see if I'm right after the film is out this Friday.
Speaking of Friday, that's when our next Freeze Frame installment will hit — so stayed tuned and get ready to put your movie-identifying skills to test once again.

Who did Danny Glover play in Top Gun? I didn’t think he was in it.
