The Caption Contest Winners

We had a great time reading all of your creative captions for the image below… but we could only pick five winners from the nearly seventy entries in last Thursday’s contest.

Ghostbusters_still

And the winners are:

Chris Partridge: I’m really happy for you Bill, and Imma let you finish,
but Ernie Hudson is the Greatest Ghostbuster of All Time.

Liz C: Terror fully set in as the Ghostbusters realized by crossing their beams, they had been transported to the next big Miley Cyrus movie event.

Suellen: Who we gonna call? Ghos… wait, that won’t work.

John: I know it’s cloudy, but are we really waiting around for the meatballs?

Desiree H: Uh guys…is this a bad time to tell you I forgot to charge the packs?

Thanks again to everyone who participated, and congrats to the latest swag bag winners!

We’ve got three days left in September, and something tells me we’ll have opportunities to win the last of the goodie bags on each of those days, so keep checking back to see what else we have in store…

The Caption Contest Winners

The time has come to reveal the five winners of Thursday's 'Caption This Classic Movie Image' contest.  But before I list the latest goodie bag recipients, let me say that The Powers That Be at redbox truly had a tough time deciding on their favorite entries.  We really appreciate the creativity and time everyone put into their submissions.  There's a chance we'll run another caption contest over the next two weeks, so if you weren't one of the lucky winners this time around, please give it another go in the future.

To refresh everyone's memory… here was the image from The Karate Kid that players had to work with:

And the winners are (drumroll, please…):

Jim: “Daniel-san was later disqualified once it was discovered he had a little Captain in him.”

Carl Deal: “Just look at us! How could he choose the Panda?!”

Danny B: “The deadly move known as "Hidden armpit scent, crouching fungus."

John Augenstein: “Over-powered, out-matched, and still quite tired from a late night Monty Python Marathon, Daniel attempts to distract his opponent with his own
interpretation of The Ministry of Silly Walks.”

Bobby Gaige: "Slowly I turned… step by step… inch by inch…"

Yep, we're suckers for pop culture references, all right.  Congrats to the winners — I'll be contacting you shortly to get your mailing addresses.

I want to also call out these two runners-up, who actually already have goodie bags coming their way (Kathy K for a recent Threes win and Millar74 for an upcoming Readers Who Rock interview).  Their entries had us laughing!

Millar74:  “Feel the Power of my Foot Funk!”

Kathy K:  “I call a Kung-Fu time-out. My mani-pedi is drying!”

Seriously, everyone's entries were great, and we thank you all once again for playing.  If we run this contest again, I dare say it's going to be next to impossible to find another image that will inspire more hilarious captions.
