A few months ago, I (along with the rest of the world) freaked out over Columbia's decision to remake The Karate Kid. Despite the collective wishes, hopes and prayers of moviegoers across the globe, this project keeps moving forward. To add insult to injury, someone decided that it'd be a good idea to call up Jackie Chan and see if he'd be interested in playing Mr. Miyagi. Jackie Chan?!?!
They've also put Harald Zwart, director of the upcoming, sure to be a Razzie contender Pink Panther 2, at the helm. Though I wasn't planning to leave my condo today on account of the subzero temperatures, I may have no choice now but to hurl myself into a snow drift and let Mother Nature freeze this information out of my mind.
The only way this movie could be worse is if they had Miley Cyrus cover Bananarama's "Cruel Summer" and then also cast her as the girlfriend to Jaden Smith's Daniel LaRusso. (If this actually happens, I will resign my post here at redblog so that I can do no more harm.)

Maybe they could get the Jonas Brothers to play the guys in Cobra Kai. Wow. I am not sure how to feel about this.
